Progressive Candidates for Congress 2006
An integrated listing of endorsements and ratings from several organizations.
I have compiled a table of candidates in the 2006 Congressional elections (including the Senate) who have been endorsed by either the Council for a Livable World or the League of Conservation Voters. For these candidates, ratings are also shown from Planned Parenthood Action Fund and from the American Civil Liberties Union, if available (i.e. if the candidate is already in Congress so that the voting record can be seen).
This is intended not as a complete reference, but as one tool to help inform your decision about which candidates to support. A "Rough Score" is computed by combining the ratings from the four organizations. It is called the "rough score" to encourage you not to take it too seriously! The formula favors incumbents strongly, because only they can have a voting record and therefore a Planned Parenthood and ACLU score.
